How do you use it for the first time? (Quick start guide)
Fully unroll the cable, place the power supply in a stable and dry spot, submerge the robot and let it sink to the bottom. Start the cycle and, when cleaning is finished, lift it out using the handle (never the cable), empty and rinse the filters. Do not leave it in the water for long after the cycle and avoid leaving it in the sun: this helps reduce wear on plastics, the cable and seals.
Are spare parts and service available after the warranty?
Yes. We provide technical support and spare parts even after the warranty period, with quick availability and dedicated assistance.
Where does the collected dirt go?
Dirt is collected in the filters. Cleaning the filters is quick and takes about 20 seconds (just rinse them).
Is it compatible with my pool surface?
Yes: robots work on all types of pool surfaces; what mainly changes are the brushes, depending on the surface: • PVC or Combined brushes: liner, polyester, reinforced PVC, painted concrete • If equipped with Wonder brushes: also suitable for tiles, mosaic and fiberglass.
Does it arrive ready to use?
Yes. It comes ready to use with a set of filters already included: just plug it in and start the cleaning cycle.
Why should you remove it from the water after the cycle?
To reduce wear on components and cable and to avoid prolonged exposure to chemicals or temperature changes. After the cycle it is good practice to remove it, rinse it and store it away.
Is the robot fully automatic?
Yes. Once started, the robot runs the entire cycle 100% autonomously.
What’s included in the package?
The robot, filter set, instructions and the MetodoBlu warranty certificate (plus any accessories included in the product configuration).
How should you maintain it properly?
Clean the filters after every use, periodically clean the impeller, do not leave the robot in the water after the cycle and avoid leaving it in the sun for long. Store the cable in its original shape and keep everything in a dry place.
Does it clean steps and stairs as well?
Usually it’s not guaranteed: some steps can only be cleaned if the robot can properly grip and maintain traction. If steps remain dirty, a practical solution is to brush the debris toward the pool floor so the robot can vacuum it; alternatively, perform targeted manual cleaning.
Is it suitable for in-ground and above-ground pools?
Yes: it works for both, as long as the model is correctly sized for the pool length, wall height and type of debris (some models are more oriented toward a specific use, but compatibility is always verified case by case).
Is it suitable for any pool shape?
Yes: in general it works for rectangular, square, round, oval, kidney-shaped, pear-shaped, L-shaped and freeform pools. For very complex shapes (many corners, shallow areas or large steps), it’s important to choose a model with suitable traction and navigation.
Which cycle duration should I choose (2h / 3h / 4h)?
General rule: • 2 hours: maintenance cleaning, small pools or light dirt • 3 hours: standard use for medium pools (typically up to 12–15 m) • 4 hours: large pools, first cleaning of the season or heavy debris.
How often should it run?
During the season: 2–4 times per week (more often if the pool is heavily used or there are nearby trees). After storms or strong wind: an extra cycle is recommended.
Does it consume a lot of electricity?
No. Power consumption is low. An electric robot uses much less electricity than running the pool filtration system for hours; roughly 100–200 W.
Water temperature: when does it work best?
It generally works best in normal seasonal water temperatures. In very cold water it may lose some traction or wall-cleaning efficiency. Rule of thumb: if the water is cold, choose longer cycles and make sure filters and brushes are clean. (Exact values are specified in the model manual.)
Water parameters (pH, chlorine, salt): are there limits?
Yes. To protect components and ensure performance, keep the water balanced (pH and disinfectant within the recommended range). Exact values depend on the system used (chlorine/salt) and the model: follow the product instructions and general pool maintenance guidelines.
Can I do a chlorine shock treatment or add chemicals with the robot in the pool?
It’s better not to. Add the chemicals, allow them to dissolve and circulate, and only then start the robot. This prevents exposure to high concentrations that could damage plastics, filters and surfaces.
Can I swim while the robot is cleaning?
No. For safety reasons you should not swim while the robot is operating. Remove it before allowing swimmers into the pool.
Can I leave it in the water all the time?
No. Remove it after the cycle, clean the filters and store it in a shaded, ventilated place. Leaving it in the pool for long periods (especially in the sun) accelerates wear on the cable, seals and plastics.
It seems stuck in the tracks/brushes: how do I fix it?
Turn off and unplug the power supply. Flip the robot over and check the tracks, brushes, wheels and corners. Remove hair, leaves, small stones or debris that might block it or cause it to spin in circles. Then restart it with clean filters.
Service, repairs and spare parts after the warranty: how does it work?
Yes, we provide service and repairs even after the warranty period. To speed things up, just provide the model + serial number + issue (preferably with photos or video). The most common wear parts are usually available: we can supply and install them on request.
What can reduce performance or damage the robot?
Clogged filters, obstacles blocking the impeller or tracks, cable left in the sun, unbalanced water chemistry, chemical shock treatments with the robot in the pool, excessive debris without pre-removal, improper use or pulling the robot by the cable.
Is it normal for it to pause, change direction and not follow a “perfect” path?
Yes, that’s normal. Robots alternate between runs, reversals and pauses to optimize coverage and traction; the movement may seem random, but it is part of the cleaning logic.
